AHA understands that coaches are one of our best assets and are an extremely important factor in the safety, learning, and fun of our youth in hockey.
I think it's safe to say we all want the very best for our kids and we have been fortunate in the past to have some excellent coaches. However, as with anything, there is always room for improvement and we will continue to pursue perfection. This year there will be some things implemented for the purpose of that pursuit!
We will have a coaches meeting as always but it will be more extensive and a bit different. Parents will also be contacted so that AHA can lay out the expectations.
We are also pursuing some sort of development training for not only players but coaches and parents as well.
This is a hockey town and our goal is to keep it that way! If you are willing to volunteer your time, energy, and effort and can keep in mind the kids' safety, and teaching of hockey skills, while keeping it fun, AHA would love to have you on board! If you feel that this is something you'd like to try then please register/apply by clicking on the link below!
NOTICE: The rules of USA Hockey, MAHA, and AHA require all personnel (Head coach, assistant coach, or on-ice helper) on the ice during practices MUST be registered and apply!
The Registration "For Coaches" is not currently available.
