Recreational Hockey Season

The AHA Season Registration is for 6U to 18U players.

Before beginning this registration you will need to register with USA Hockey. USA Hockey membership fees are determined by birth year. There is also an affiliate fee for the Michigan Amateur Hockey Association (MAHA). You will need to enter your player's USA Hockey confirmation number to begin registration.

Register players before Sept 1st to receive the Early Bird Discount. 

• The Early Bird Discount provides a $50 discount for 6U-18U registered players.
• During the registration process, you will see the Discount codes field. You will enter the code you are eligible for on the checkout page.

• 6U-18U players use the Early Bird Discount Code before Sept 1st to get a $50 discount.

The Raffle Ticket Fundraiser is a way families can reduce the cost of hockey. You will select this option before checking out and the $200 will be added to your registration costs. Each registered player will receive 20 raffle tickets, with a max of 2 registered players per family.

• Fundraiser raffle ticket fees can be recouped through cash raffle ticket sales. 

We only require raffle tickets for two players per family. If a family has three or more players to register please reach out to alpena.hockey.association@gmail.com for the 3 or more raffle ticket discount code.

We will accept a full upfront payment for the season, a payment plan, or a pay offline option. We accept major credit cards (a service charge will be applied during the payment process) or ACH payments using your banking account/routing numbers (a service charge will be applied during the payment process).

If you select the payment plan option, you will be required to pay the deposit established for each level and to enter your credit card or ACH banking information, which will be stored securely by a third party. Payment plans are scheduled to be auto-debited on the 1st of every month based on the schedule provided at registration.

If you select the pay offline option you must contact AHA at alpena.hockey.association@gmail.com notifying AHA of your selection. We will contact you with details to make your payment. You must make your cash or check payment within one week of your registration.

*The season registration fees listed do not include extra team-specific expenses (also known as team fees), such as tournament fees, team events, and other unique costs, such as the end-of-year team party and coaches' gifts. These additional fees will be determined after team formation and further meetings with parents.

6U - 2019 and 2020 Birth Years

8U - 2017 and 2018 Birth Years

10U - 2015 and 2016 Birth Years

12U - 2013 and 2014 Birth Years

14U - 2011 and 2012 Birth Years

16U/18U - 2007-2010 Birth Years

• Practices and home games will be held at NLA.
• Teams will have two practices during the week.
• Teams should expect to skate at least 2-4 skates per week.
• Games will start in November. 
• Games will typically be on the weekends.
• The AHA scheduler and the team staff will schedule games.
• The amount of games played will vary between age groups.

Practice schedules will be released in early September.
